What kind of media institute might distribute your media product?

We came to a conclusion that the best institute for our thriller film would be Warner Brothers Production. It is a well known institute globally that would attract a mass audience as they distribute there films by advertising new releases and cinema titles on billboards, trailers, adverts and newspapers. The media institute has also been involved in a number of successful films, so loyal audiences of Warner Bros will trust the brand, making them want to watch the thriller film.

Official actors chosen

Tom Bailey

Tom Bailey was a perfect fit for our thriller opening due to his recent experience in acting. Tom recently played as an extra in the 'Harry Potter' sequence. His previous acting experience will be useful and he can help us by incorportaing his ideas. He can act with a serious facial expression which portrays the suspence as we as the audience won't know whether we trust the male character or not; as he is later on convicted of murder.

Avability: Flexable
Role: The innocent man convicted of murder
Acting Expiernce: Extra for famous 'Harry Potter' movies

Zoe Gardner

Zoe fits the part of the innocent female. Her appearance is exactly what we pictured the female to look like; Pretty, tall with long blonde hair as a sterotypical innocent who would easily be lead into a trap . She also has previous acting experince, starring as an extra on 'Eastenders' and 'Mr Selfridge.'

Avability: Weekends
Role: Innocent female who is murdered
Acting Expierence: Extra in 'Eastenders' and 'Mr Selfridge'

Actor Pose Auditions

Actor Pose Auditions

We carfully chose six differing actors to aution for the role of the young women who is brutally muredered in our Thriller Opening.

Each actor had to fit the role criteria which consisted of:
-Long hair to enhance the feminity of the character
- Be able to present a realistic account of a dead body
- Slim to appear vulnerable
- To have previous acting experience
- Appear dead in a feminine, classy, vulnerable way

Jodie Horne
Jodie fits the following aspects of the criteria:
-Long hair to enhance the feminity of the character
- Slim to appear vulnarble
- To have previous acting experience
As you can see Jodie suits the areas of the criteria that apply to her appearance and her acting experience which includes, GCSE - A level drama, attending stage coach and leading the school musical for two years. However she was unable to act as a beleive dead body and do so in a feminine way which are the most prominant aspects of the criteria, which without would contrast with the natuarlistic themed scene and would not suit the costume she would need to wear.

Katy Jeffery
Katy fits the following aspects of the criteria:
-Long hair to enhance the feminity of the character
- Be able to present a realistic account of a dead body
- Slim to appear vulnarble
- Appear dead in a feminine, classy, vulnarble way
Katy fits the majority of the actors citeria with her appearance, slim with long hair, exactly what we need to portray a stereotypical women, her acting was beleivable and realistic and done so feminily, which was great and extremely useful, however Katy had only one account of previous acting experience of stage coach and the reference explained she was regularily late and occaisionally didnt attend, therefore she is unfit to play the role.

Olivia Veale
Olivia fits the following aspects of the criteria:

- Be able to present a realistic account of a dead body
- Slim to appear vulnerable
- Appear dead in a feminine, classy, vulnarble way
Olivia presented a very realistic portrayal of a dead women, crossing her legs would work with the costume and shows a very female position. However Olivia had little experience in acting, only taking part in a play when she 5 years old and her appearance only fits the criteria as she has very short hair, when it is necessary for the actors to have long hair to emphasise the femininity of the damsel in distress character.

Emily Hunter
Emily fits the following aspects of the mark scheme:

-Long hair to enhance the feminity of the character
- Slim to appear vulnerable
- To have previous acting experience
Emily filled parts of the actors criteria with her appearance, being slim and having long hair. However, similar to Jodie, Emily was an unsuitable actor to play the part of the murdered women as she was unable to be able to present a realistic account of a dead body and do so in a feminine, classy, vulnerable way; this is ranked the most important part of the criteria as the thriller introduction needs to be naturalistic to ensure the enhancement of the tension and creation of an atmosphere.

Hayley Sapsford
Hayley suited the following aspects of the criteria:

-Long hair to enhance the feminity of the character
- Be able to present a realistic account of a dead body
- Slim to appear vulnerable
- To have previous acting experience
- Appear dead in a feminine, classy, vulnerable way
As you can see Hayley is a perfect candidate as she fills all aspects of the criteria, Her appearance is perfectly suited to what we're looking for, slim with long hair which we could fan out to emphasise, she was able to act as a realistic dead women with grace and has lots of previous acting experience including featuring in a marks and spencer advert at the age of twelve, acting as the lead role in three school productions, playing the parts of Alice in Alice and Wonderland, Dorothy in Wizard of Oz and Mary in the nativity - all female lead role who are vulnerable at time and face problems.

Zoe Gardener
Zoe suited the following aspects of the criteria:
-Long hair to enhance the feminity of the character
- Be able to present a realistic account of a dead body
- Slim to appear vulnerable
- To have previous acting experience
- Appear dead in a feminine, classy, vulnerable way
Zoe fits every part of the criteria perfectly, her appearance is exactly what we pictured the women to look like, emphasising the blonde hair as stereotypically the damsel in distress seems to be blonde (e.g. Kim Novac in Alfred Hithcock's production of Virtigo, Hitchcock was famous for using blonde actors to be murdered by the antagonist characters as he believed they were beautiful and vulnerable.) Her acting was perfectly realistic and lady like and she had extensive previous acting experience, she was an extra in the 's club 8' music video, also featuring as an extra on the hit UK tv shows - 'Eastenders' and ' Mr Selfridge'.

Overall we narrowed down our six options to two, Zoe Gardener and Hayley Sapsford, they both ticked everything off the mark scheme due to their appearance, flawless acting and extensive acting experience. However overall we chose Zoe to assume the role due to her blonde hair which would suit the stereotypical vulnerable female damsel in distress and although Hayley's previous acting experience allowed her to be centre stage and assume the protagonist role whereas Zoe was not the main focus in her acting role, her experience were much more professional, meaning she was much more comfortable being in front of a camera.
